Mentor Matching
This program is designed to provide opportunities for youth and young adults who may not have the networking resources of their more fortunate peers. Participants will be matched with mentors who share a common interest or passion, allowing them to gain hands-on experience.
Being good at something as a child or young adult can be a life changer. It can build overall confidence and drive to know and experience the feelings of being the best. It can be literally anything and not necessarily a useful or logical thing.
Mentors such as restaurant owners teaching culinary skills, local musicians guiding participants in music and industry management will offer interactive, real-world learning experiences similar to an internship at no cost to the youth. To maintain the program’s integrity, mentees will be required to commit to consistent engagement with their mentors. A structured review process will ensure that each participant is a good fit. The intent is to create a permanent bond between the two participants which will last, grow and thrive. Just think, you may have discovered the next world-renowed artist, physicist, or soccer star! Please, tell us! We would like to meet them and help them find their path! You may hold the key to the next artist, activist, or philosopher.
